Web 2.0 Alive?

Great post today on Chris Brogan’s blog by Dennis Howlett.  It is worth the read, it brings up some points that will raise some arguments on both sides, as you will see by the comments received.  What do you think after reading this?

Web 2.0 Hereos (the book)

I just finished Web 2.0 Heroes, Interviews with 20 Web 2.0 Influencers by Bradley L. Jones.  Great book and so interesting.  Each “hero” has a terrific story, things that motivated them and keeps them looking forward.  Many of the same questions are asked to each “hero” and it is facsinating to read the similarities and especially the differences in their answers regarding Web 2.0 past, present and future.  Highly recommend this one!  Happy Collaborating!

The CIA is using Web 2.0– “what about security?!”

David Spark did a spectacular job covering the Web 2.0 conference last week via his blog.  One of the articles he wrote focused on the CIA implementing Web 2.0 tools.  Many out there fear that Web 2.0 is not secure, but I take the stance that neither is your c: drive or email or IM if left alone.  That is why implementation needs governance as well (that is another blog another day…) BUT the CIA, who needless to say, has highly sensitive data is using Web 2.0.  Click here to read the blog and do sit and watch the video interview (6 minutes).  Happy collaborating!
